- Understand the sales strategies and selling to public sector
- Relevant experience in responding to Government and Public Sector Undertaking’s (PSU) tenders
- Understand the tendering process with regard to Govt. and PSU business
- Manage the overall process of selling to public sector business
- Have an effective network with the public sector stakeholders including Central, State Governments and PSUs
- Engage with OEM partners such as Microsoft / IBM to respond to tenders as well as work with Government requirements for software development and cloud
- Generating cross sell & up sell opportunities with public sector business
- Keep a track of tenders directly as well as through partners
- Ensure all the queries are responded to for participating in tenders
- Establish oneself as a trusted / strategic advisor with stakeholders in public sector
- Support marketing in creation of marketing collateral and lead generation activities
- Ensure growth of revenues of public sector by building relationships and adding value through research, consulting, etc.,
- Willingness to travel to locations for relationship meetings, events, pre-bids, meetings, etc.,
- 5+ YEARS experience in selling to public sector business / PSUs
- Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented and analytical and a problem solver
- Strong team player, proactive, self-motivated and a self-starter
- Thrives in a multitasking environment and can adjust priorities on-the-fly.
- Prior knowledge of selling IT solutions to Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy etc would be a big advantage.
